Default How to unlock skill for Heros?

I'm trying to build good hero builds, but I don't know how to unlock skills for heros. I used to thought that if you already unlock a skills in one character it'll automatically be avalible for another and heros as well.
But now I'm confused. Should I unlock a skill that I wanted in one character, and then buy a tome to unlock it for my hero??
If so/not how do you guys unlock skills for heros? It's been very frustrating that I can't have a skill I want. Thank you very much.

Any skill unlocked on your account is available to all heroes. Hero skill points can also be used to purchase skills for your heroes. I can't say whether that allows the skill to be learned by all heroes across the account.

Tomes are for players, not heroes.

Quickest way to get unlock skills (san Elites) for all your heroes is to purchases them through the in-game store. As for Elites, I think you will still need to either cap them yourself or get them via Elite tomes.

Hero skill points DO unlock skill. Characters can not gain skill without unlocking it.

If skill is listed as unlocked on priests on Balthazar, it is unlocked and available for all heroes.

As long as the skill is unlocked, it allows the skill to be learned by all heroes across the account and you are right that Tomes are for players, not heroes.

If you use your hero skill points on a hero skill trainer to unlock a skill, that character that talks to the hero skill trainer ALSO acquires said skill. This is one way to get skills for your character without paying 1k, but it uses up a hero skill point instead.

Thank you all very much. I overlooked hero skill trainer before. But now I have another question, how do you see hero's skill points?

I THINK the only way to do it is to go to the hero skill trainer and they will tell you. Not sure theres any other way.

When you speak to the skill trainer, it tells you in the little blurb how many Hero Skill Points you have:

Once you talk to a hero skill trader he should tell you how many you have.
